the one I am particularly interested in is the Zemmix Turbo (the UFO) - from what I read elsewhere the led thingy on top of the console reacts somehow to the game sounds and music? odd. and it's an MSX2 console, nice.

how about that strange keyboard and monitor? awesome. I love obscure retro consoles from korea and japan.

Awesome. I've seen some of those units before, but never the Turbo. It's surely one of the greatest console designs ever and even more spaceshippy than a PCE Shuttle.

I'm quite liking the funky Kobo branded unit with the round monitor and Stealth Bomber-esque keyboard/main unit. It's certainly aimed at children with that round yellow keyboard attachment/cover with the colored shapes on it.

korean hardware seems to be so mysterious, second only to stuff from the middle east - you hear all kinds of exclusive and weird things existing in Saudi Arabia, half of which is probably made up.

The worlds first Mega Drive clone back BEFORE the Mega Drive was officially released in the UK came from the middle East. It was called the Scorpion and also featured full on region and speed mod via switches. They also released the Scorpion II however the 1st one is a real rare beast these days. In fact it was quite rare back then. Also there was a Korean Mega Drive in a Joystick! I've only ever seen one picture this. Does anyone else know about this very odd clone? It came out back when the Mega Drive was still a popular platform.

I have a skorpion. It's a solid machine. I also
have a few zemmix machines with about 60 games.

It's got some great originals.

I remember that Scorpion MD clone. We had a small independent game store in my city back then and I had a go on one. They even featured it on the Bad Influence TV show here in the UK.

Bumping this one back up for a couple of questions.

I just got my hands on a CPC-51 with a Zemina copy of Nemesis 3. Before I start doing any testing, I wanted to make sure that the Zemina carts are compatible with normal MSX carts. I have an OCM and would like to test out the cart in that, but don't want to risk killing either.

Also, it appears that the power supply for the Zemmix will handle 110 vac input, but what adaptor do I need to be able to convert the plug to the US standard? It appears to be the same as the UK, but I'm thinking it may be a bit bigger. Any risk in using an adaptor and running it here?

Are all those consoles on that website official or pirate consoles or 3rd party?
