Zephyr Stress Kit

So this is the first interesting piece of Xbox history I've ever had. I have had an XNA Kit before but it was just to get and quickly sell for a profit. I now have a xenon demo kit, and this zephyr stress kit. The console is in not the original case, and it has a ton of wires coming out from where the disc drive bezel usually is, most being several feet long. One piece of stripped wire without a connector was close to 10ft. Just by quick looks into the disc drive, you can see some strange stuff like red lights around the heatsinks. I can see some kind of board directly inside of the disc drive hole with some of the wires connected. Now what interests me more, is what is on the console. It doesn't have the normal xbox 360 navigation sounds, if you know what I mean. It is now just a low tone beep, nothing like what is on newer flashes or anything retail. The console is on flash 4584. (XDK 5426).

Here's the files that I found on the console, as well as the console's file structure.

Lastly, whenever I try and run the 'H2' xex, I just get this big error screen, and the console RRODs, despite me being able to bring up the guide and go right back to dash. RROD persists until restart. All other xex files give me the typical can't start message.

Thought I'd post it here just to preserve it, and get some clarification on what is in it.

It's a device used to test XGD2-3 encryption for DVD's when it was in development.

These kits are called "SSK" Development Kits, short for "Sentinel Stress Kit"

Thanks for the info, crazy to think that they developed consoles without disc drives to test dvd encryption, lol.

Any idea what the files are? Dashlaunch appears to be on there but doesn't work.

Not the OG case, pervious owner gave me choice of an elite or white case. He didn't have the og case either, and I quite like the elite cases better. Just a retail Jasper case.

Thankfully, if my old pea remembers right putting dashlaunch patches on a xdk turns it into a paperweight in need of reflashing. Or that was some obscure false memory who knows LOL

Cool sentinel kit !!
