So I came across this particular game:


I got interested, but it's fully japanese (oh really) and I can't read japanese. I played it in PC-8801 and I got as far as finding the menu to disable music. But I've heard that you can use Anime Text Hooker on PC to translate it on-the-fly. I'm going to try it, but I also came across this page:

It states that they have a manual available, but I can't download their manual pack (missing links). Does anyone have an alternative/mirror?

Also it states "Erotic Content: Yes". I don't have any problem with this kind of content, but is this game just some cheap excuse to show tits or it is elaborated (i.e.: It is a criminal investigation game as I thought and pornography is kept at a bare minimum to only portray realistic scenarios)?

It is not an "adult" adult game but it is an adult game as it deals with murder and you get the odd topless body around. Not sure why you would want to play a Japanese game that is very text heavy and most translation programs are going to give you lots of Engrish...

I do not understand the game myself, I think you might be working for a newspaper and investigating some murders. I did not get so far, I do not know what happen there in the end really.

See, that's what I like about forum posts, they're like time capsules in a way. It is funny to look at my older posts and see my excessive enthusiasm with everything retrogaming.

I'll have to take a look at this game again now that I'm actually studying japanese.

Yee, I totaly agree, I like to fire up old forum post again, if it is for something nice then ofc. Like this game.
I did not get that far in the game, I got stuck so I guess I was doing something wrong.
You shuld do a video where you talk and telling what it is all about.
OR make a translation of this, would be great, I sure play it then again.

It took me a while to read even the first "dialog" (テンキーの２，４，６，８のキーを押して - "press numpad keys 2, 4, 6, 8") so don't count too much on it lol. I like how I can pick up some stuff randomly though, like for example the murder was in the morning of March 25, the victim was a young woman, it was in the middle of a park/grove, etc. but that's mainly because of the particles and kanji, I "know" around 400 kanji (RTK method so I don't really "know" them) and that's mainly how I guess stuff since I have near zero vocabulary and grammar.

What I meant is that I still have a long way until I can do any sort of proper playthrough unless I'm really patient to sit 2 hours for each screen with dictionary in one hand, grammar dictionary in other. hah
