install windows xp into a partition on your hard drive to get a dual boot machine, when you boot up it will ask you which operating system you want to use.

The problem is not with the XP os itself, but with the computer with LPT port as he ordered the old device instead of Retrocade or such which has USB port.

Wow, I just read this entire forum to discover it still hasn't ended.

Why can't you try your cousin's computer?

They are rarely home both work 7 days a week most the time i have only seen them twice since i posted this thread they live a hour away but are rarely home during the day and i don't drive i have asked them once about using the transferer device the first time i saw them i only had the cart so perhaps next time they will let me use the comp if they are home for long enough or if i get a xp computer whatever happens first really Image i am unsure if anyone else i know has a XP comp with the printer port

OK.
This sort of thing is why I have a Windows 98 hooked up in the basement.

I hope you wound up with a cart that was worth all of this time and effort.
