Do avoid the PS3 version, though. I hear nothing but bad things about that version.

That's a very common thing with early seventh gen games. The PS3 architecture was so weird nobody got it working properly. It was like the Saturn, except the devs finally figured it our around 2007 or so as opposed to the Saturn's proper dev kit coming out like right when SoA dropped it.

I was 9 years old at the time, so I couldn't afford it anyway.

Still feeling old.

The 360 is great because unlike its competition, the controller didn't suck, and now you can go and get like 5 games for $20. Soon Gamestop will start practically giving the games away for it.

I orginally bought it for VF5 Online as it did the unthinkable of adding netplay to the series out here in US.
It RROD shortly after a year or two, though MS assumed responsibility with their extended warranty program and got another working unit. Still going strong luckily.
I love my 360. It gets the most playtime outside of my Dreamcast and Saturn. Play lots of Digital titles like 3S:OE, MvC:O, Garou, KoF 02UM, SF2 HF, DSR...
And even more physical releases like DoA4, VF5, SF4, Raiden Fighter Aces, Bayonetta, Sonic UGC, Tekken 6BR, TTT2, Sam Sho Sen, KoF XII and XIII, Battle Fantasia, Burnout Revenge, Vanquish, Child of Eden, VO 4 Force, The list goes on and on.

What are you talking about? Swatting? As in that thing that happens to streamers?

Oh and lets not forget the 10 year olds sprouting out racial and gay slurs in Call of Duty.

Lost Odyssey was the complete package. I should have never sold off my copy. Eh, I can always rebuy it and start the adventure over. But it gets so tedious in that cave.

How sad is It that I know the exact cave that you are referring to?

Indeed. TES IV: Oblivion is another good example. The hardware is really powerful, it's just climbing that hill of utilizing it correctly. They have said that it's Sony's Saturn. This means emulation isn't something we'll see anytime soon.

I mean, that's not really an Xbox exclusive thing. More of a "modern games that for some godawful reason allow voice chat online" thing.

Which is why I'm bewildered when people honestly think that Super Smash Bros, of all games, needs voice chat.

I myself never had a 360, but my brother got his first one in 2005 and went through like six of them in two years.

I'm pretty sure that's not an xbox 360 exclusive thing, that's just the internet in general...

Jesus Christ, it's been ten years? I was in university back then. I never really liked the Xbox brand because I wasn't comfortable with a mega corporation like Microsoft getting involved in games. But then a friend let me borrow his xbox 360 for awhile and it was kinda fun. Even if getting used to the thumb sticks for FPS games was kinda weird.

After noticing how much better games ran on the 360 compared to my more expensive PC, I became disillusioned with PC gaming and starting buying 360 games instead.

But then I came into some money and was able to buy a new really very beefy PC with the intent of making this my last PC for the occasional PC-exclusive title. After PC ports became really good and I found I was able to run any game any max settings, I got back into PC gaming and sold off any 360 games I had that were also on PC.
