Sonic Adventure, which is one of the last great Sonic games SEGA made.

Man, cant believe is 10 years already, what happened that time went so fast?

In all these years all I can recall as fun are just a handful of games, and thats all:-(

to be honest resident evil 2 was bigger than all of those.. even the DC.. i guess 97 was a pretty good year

Anyways 10 years is not all that long ago. Hell in may I hit 6 years of being in the VG industry and it still feels like nothing.

I'm more impressed by games we grew up on hitting 20 or 30 year anniversary.

that would depend on how you define an RPG. Best true RPG on the N64 was Paper Mario, best Strategy-RPG was Ogre Battle.

Ocarina of time is one of my favourite games of all time indeed, but i wouldnt bother comparing it to other titles of similar gameplay - it was the first of those to get a spot in my heart and I ll always be biased, so there's no point debating.

I think most people now consider any sort of game with "talking" or a fantasy setting to be an RPG of some sort. It's not so surprising though since I imagine most have never had exposure to pen and paper games.

As far as JRPGs are concerned, I'm giving them a new genre name.

Well the DC and SF III came out in 1997 but whats a year between friends.
