There are 2 generations of PSX DESRs:


DESR-7000/DESR-5000/DESR-7100/DESR-5100
DESR-7500/DESR-5500/DESR-7700/DESR-5700
First generation. After researches I found that there can be at least 6 different firmware version. Firmware can be divided in three types: factory firmware, disc distribution, network distribution.


Version 1.06 - factory firmware. Internal version number for all packages - 0.1. DESR-7000/DESR-5000 was released with this firmware on board. Internal name for factory release:

Version 1.10 - was distributed with update disc and over network. Never seen 1.10 as factory firmware. Internal number for all packages - 0.2. Has 2 internal names: network release

Version 1.20 - was distributed with update disc and over network. Never seen 1.20 as factory firmware. Internal number for all packages except PSML1 package - 0.2. PSML1 package version (added new package) - 0.0. PSML - this is BB Navigator (online channels) for PSX DVR. Firmware has the same internal name for network and disc releases:

Version 1.30 - factory firmware. There is no disc update for this version. Never seen network update for this version. Internal version number for almost all packages - 0.4. Added some new packages (psml package updated) which has version 0.1: PSML1, XHKB, PVRREENCO, XSCROLLBAR, XSCROLLLIST. DESR-7100/DESR-5100 was released with this firmware on board. Internal name for factory release:

Firmware internal names: network

Spoiler: Changelog

Regarding modern DESR series - there was only 2 versions:


Version 2.06 - was distributed as factory firmware. Internal number for package called "Version_0" - 0.64 . I found this firmware on DESR-5500 and DESR-5700. Firmware internal name
